Simpler-Webb, Inc., an IT infrastructure solutions company, announced today that CFO/COO, Chris Cobb, will be competing in this year’s Ironman competition on November 19, 2008, in Tempe Beach Park, Arizona.

Austin, TX, November 11, 2008: Simpler-Webb, Inc., an IT infrastructure solutions company, announced today that CFO/COO, Chris Cobb, will be competing in this year’s Ironman competition on November 19, 2008, in Tempe Beach Park, Arizona.

This will be the fourth Ironman for Cobb to complete in and his first CEO Challenge, a challenge designed for CEO’s who love to compete and consistently challenge themselves. Cobb is one of two Austinites competing in the Ironman/CEO Challenge that consists of a 2.4- mile swim, a 112-mile bike and a complete marathon of 26.2 miles. Training for this event began years ago as Cobb has been a part of a multitude of races but his grueling training weeks starting in September where he averaged a 10k swim/250-mile bike/45-mile run weekly with his Texas Iron training group.

“Training for an Ironman is like managing a company,” Cobb states. “You have to stay within yourself and don’t jeopardize tomorrow. The training process involves a long term focus of doing the right things each day to progress towards the goal. Only through consistency and attention to detail does the athlete arrive healthy and capable of completing the event. Similarly, through executing well each day, Simpler-Webb grows and achieves our own goals and business success.”

Simpler-Webb has participated in many racing events and promotes a well-being life style to its employees. The company has sponsored many of its employees in races and bike rides over the years and has many who ride their bikes to work on a daily basis.
