Simpler-Webb Runs in Rookie Triathlon!

At Simpler-Webb we pride ourselves on promoting healthy lifestyles. Recently, 10 of our employees participated in the Rookie Triathlon. While many had no racing or training background, they were encouraged by fellow employees. Our seasoned racers volunteered time to teach the “newbies” how to train for the triathlon and develop their own workout style and routine. This event was truly a company-wide team building experience as racers ranged from our office manager to our self- proclaimed computer geeks to our CEO!
Robin Moore, Microsoft Server Consultant
Robin began working for Simpler-Webb part-time while pursuing her degree in MIS at the University of Texas Austin. Although she left Simpler-Webb for a short time after graduation, she just couldn't stay away and decided to come back as a member of the Managed Server team, eventually moving to the consulting role she is in today. She spends the majority of her time working with clients in her backup and disaster recovery specialization area. She also helps develop and test Simpler-Webb products, works with the account management team, and acts as an escalation point for our service desk.
In her spare time, Robin enjoys practicing bikram yoga, playing in a flag football league with fellow Simpler-Webb employees, and hanging out with her boyfriend and their two dogs, Rusty, a Border Collie, and Jolie, a Toy Poodle. Robin taught Rusty over 50 different commands, including turning off the lights in the living room and putting his toys away! Robin is clearly multitalented; whether you need tips for training your dog, or a customized solution for backing up your information, Robin is the girl for the job.
CASE STUDY: JSC Credit Union Weathers Hurricane Ike with Simpler-Webb Managed Backup
Last year, JSC Federal Credit Union (FCU), based in the Greater Bay Area of Texas, was hit by Hurricane Ike. JSC FCU subscribes to Simpler-Webb Managed Backup, meaning a complete disaster recovery plan was already in place. Paul Maslonka, Vice President of Information Systems, and Simpler-Webb were on the front lines of keeping the organization up and running during the disaster. “We lost our production facility to power outage for approximately three days. Simpler-Webb facilitated the cut-over to our Simpler-Webb co-located environment, as well as connectivity to 3rd party vendors via co-located circuits and VPN concentrators. Simpler-Webb restored applicable servers and data to servers and virtual servers until such time as we were able to revert processing to our production facility.”
